Screenshot Studio

Accessibility

Our commitment to making Screenshot Studio usable by everyone, and where we still fall short.

Effective October 1, 2026

Our target

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across this website and the editor.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled form fields throughout the site and app.
  • Text and controls designed to meet AA colour contrast, in both light and dark themes.
  • Visible keyboard focus and keyboard access to menus, dialogs and panels.
  • Icon-only buttons carry accessible names, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
  • Motion respects the reduced-motion setting of your system.

Known limitations

  • Editing on the canvas is pointer-first: placing, moving and resizing elements by dragging has no direct keyboard equivalent. The Layers panel and the inspector fields are the keyboard route for selecting elements and changing their position, size and style.
  • Single-key editor shortcuts can be turned off in the editor, so they do not conflict with screen reader or voice control commands.
  • Exported screenshots are images. Text inside them is not readable by assistive technology, so store listings should carry the same text in their descriptions.

Feedback

If you hit a barrier, email [email protected] with the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 2 business days. See also our contact page.
